January 11, 2019
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

Meal packing sessions will be held on Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 26 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 2 to 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the Sanibel Community Church.

Organized by Feed My Starving Children, volunteers are needed to hand pack scientifically-designed meals, which are shipped to partners operating in nearly 70 countries and used in orphanages, clinics, schools, mission and community feeding programs. The Sanibel Island MobilePack has committed to raising $24,000 and gathering 500 volunteers to produce 108,000 meals.

Adults and children ages 5 and older can help. To volunteer, visit give.fmsc.org/sanibel.
