Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

The Captiva Memorial Library, at 11560 Chapin Lane, is offering the following free programs for adults and children during the month of June:

Adult programs

- Coloring for Grown-ups

(daily during operating hours)

The repetitive motion involved in coloring has a calming effect and adults have found the childhood activity a refreshing way to reduce anxiety, create focus or bring about more mindfulness. Participants may bring their own materials or use those provided.

- Checkers

Article Map

Part of the summer reading program, compete by picking up a "Libraries Rock!" Book Bingo sheet at the reference desk. One bingo sheet per person; each book may be used in only one square. Return completed sheet for prizes and/or drawing entries, including books - limit of three per person - and entry into branch drawing and possible grand prize drawing.
